Valacyclovir is an antiviral agent, which is the L-valine ester of acyclovir. Acyclovir is a purine (guanine) nucleoside analog. Valacyclovir is suitable for the treatment of herpes zoster and herpes simplex virus infection. It can also be used to prevent (inhibit) the recurrence of herpes simplex virus infection.
Usage and dosage:
Oral. 0.3g at a time, twice a day. Take on an empty stomach before meals. Take the medicine continuously for 10 days for herpes zoster and 7 days for herpes simplex.
Adverse reactions:
