Trospium Chloride Capsules

Function and indication:
Used to treat frequent urination, urgency and urgency incontinence caused by detrusor instability or detrusor hyperreflexia.
Usage and dosage:
This product has a variety of dosage forms and specifications. The same medicine produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions. Please read the instructions carefully before taking the medicine and follow the doctor’s advice. Trospium chloride tablets/trospium chloride capsules: Oral, 2 times a day, 1 tablet each time (equivalent to 40 mg per day). Or follow the doctor’s advice. The recommended dose for patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance of 10-30 ml/min/1.73 square meters) is 1 tablet per day or every other day (i.e. 20 mg per day or every other day). It should be taken with water on an empty stomach before meals, and the whole tablet should be taken. The course of medication should be determined by the doctor. And the doctor will decide whether to continue the treatment during the regular follow-up of 3-6 months.
Adverse reactions:
Anticholinergic side effects such as dry mouth, indigestion and constipation may occur during the treatment with trospium chloride. Common side effects (>1%): Gastrointestinal system: dry mouth, indigestion, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea. Rare side effects (<1%): Urinary system: urination disorders (such as residual urine). Cardiovascular system: tachycardia. Visual system: accommodation disorders (this often occurs in patients with hyperopia and is not properly corrected). Gastrointestinal system: diarrhea, abdominal distension. Respiratory system: dyspnea. Skin: flushing. Systemic: weakness, chest pain. Individual side effects (<0.1%): Urinary system: urinary retention. Cardiovascular system: tachyarrhythmia. Skin: angioedema. Hepatobiliary system: mild to moderate increase in serum transaminases.
Contraindications:
Contraindications in patients with the following diseases: Allergy to the active ingredient trospium chloride and other ingredients; urinary retention, prostatic hyperplasia with urinary retention; angle-closure glaucoma (high intraocular pressure); tachycardia (fast heart rate, sometimes irregular heart rhythm); myasthenia gravis
