Effects and efficacy:
Tegafur tablets are mainly used to treat digestive tract tumors, and have certain effects on gastric cancer, colon cancer, and rectal cancer. They can also be used to treat breast cancer, bronchial lung cancer, and liver cancer. They can also be used for bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and kidney cancer.
Usage and dosage:
Tegafur tablets are generally used orally, and the specific dosage must be strictly followed according to the doctor’s instructions. The same drugs produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions. If you find that the instructions are inconsistent before taking the medicine, please consult a doctor or pharmacist in time. Adult dosage: Generally 800~1200mg per day, taken in 3~4 times, with a total amount of 30~50g for one course of treatment. Pediatric dosage: 4~6mg/kg per body weight, taken 4 times a day.
Adverse reactions:
Tegafur tablets may have the following adverse reactions, which are generally mild and can gradually alleviate after a period of medication. If serious adverse reactions occur, you need to inform the attending physician immediately to reduce the impact of adverse reactions. Mild bone marrow suppression: manifested as leukopenia and thrombocytopenia. Mild gastrointestinal reactions: mainly loss of appetite and nausea. Some patients may experience vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain, which may disappear after stopping the drug. Other reactions: including fatigue, chills, fever, headache, dizziness, movement disorders, skin itching, pigmentation, mucositis and vascular pain at the injection site.
Drug contraindications:
