Effects and efficacy:
Sulfadiazine can be used to treat epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis caused by sensitive meningococci, eye infections caused by sensitive microorganisms (such as trachoma, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, etc.), and star-shaped nocardia.
Usage and dosage:
Usual dosage of sulfadiazine tablets for treating general infections in adults: Oral, 1g once, twice a day, double the first dose. Usual dosage for infants and children over 2 months old: Oral, 25-30mg/kg once according to body weight, twice a day, double the first dose (total amount not exceeding 2g). Common dosage for adults to prevent epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis: Oral, 1g once, twice a day, 2 days of treatment. Common dosage for adults to treat epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis: Oral, 2g for the first dose, 1g once thereafter, 4 times a day. Common dosage for infants and children over 2 months old: Oral, 100-150mg/kg a day. Apply sulfadiazine ointment to the cleaned affected area. 1-2 times a day. Use under the guidance of a doctor for large-area infections. Sulfadiazine eye ointment is applied to the eyelids twice a day. Sulfadiazine suspension is taken orally, 10 ml at a time, twice a day. For the treatment of meningitis, 10 ml at a time, 4 times a day. Shake well before taking.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. Pregnancy is prohibited. Lactation is prohibited. Newborns are prohibited. Hepatic and renal dysfunction is prohibited.
