Sulfacetamide sodium eye drops are topical antibacterial agents, which are mainly used for conjunctivitis and blepharitis in clinical practice; they can also be used as an adjuvant treatment for Chlamydia trachomatis infection.
The main ingredient of sulfacetamide sodium eye drops is sulfacetamide sodium, which can compete with para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA) in bacteria to inhibit dihydrofolate synthase, thereby hindering the growth and reproduction of bacteria.
