Effects and efficacy:
It is used in combination with other diuretics for edema diseases, such as congestive edema, cirrhosis ascites, and renal edema. Its purpose is to correct the secondary aldosterone secretion associated with the above diseases and counteract the potassium excretion effect of other diuretics; it is also used for the treatment of idiopathic edema. It can be used as an auxiliary drug for the treatment of hypertension. It can be used for the diagnosis and treatment of primary aldosteronism. It is used in combination with thiazide diuretics to prevent hypokalemia and enhance the diuretic effect.

Usage and dosage:
For the treatment of edema diseases in adults: 40-120 mg per day, divided into 2-4 times, for at least 5 consecutive days; the dose can be adjusted as appropriate later. For the treatment of hypertension: Start with 40-80 mg per day, divided into times, for at least 2 weeks, and adjust the dose as appropriate later; it should not be used in combination with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors to avoid increasing the chance of hyperkalemia. Treatment of primary aldosteronism: Before surgery, the daily dosage for patients is 100-400 mg, divided into 2-4 times; for patients who are not suitable for surgery, a smaller dose is used for maintenance. Diagnosis of primary aldosteronism: Long-term test, 400 mg per day, divided into 2-4 times, for 3-4 consecutive weeks; short-term test, 400 mg per day, divided into 2-4 times, for 4 consecutive days. Children’s medication for edema diseases, starting with 1-3 mg/kg per day or 30-90 mg/m per body surface area, single or divided into 2-4 times, after 5 consecutive days, adjust the dose as appropriate.
