Sofosbuvir and velpatasvir

Sofosbuvir-velpatasvir tablets are an oral chemical drug, a compound preparation composed of sofosbuvir and velpatasvir, mainly used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus infection (HCV) in adults.
This product is effective against all genotypes of hepatitis C virus, and can be used to treat hepatitis C virus infection of genotypes 1-6, and can also treat hepatitis C virus infection of genotype 7.
The replication process of HCV mainly includes three drug targets. The first is the NS3/4A protease that transcribes and processes HCV polyprotein, the second is the NS5B polymerase that catalyzes the key synthesis of HCV-RNA, and the third is the NS5A protein involved in viral replication and viral particle assembly.
Sofosbuvir-velpatasvir tablets are an inhibitor of HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (necessary for viral replication). Its essence is a nucleotide prodrug. After use, this product is metabolized in cells to form uridine analogs with certain pharmacological activity.
