Silver sulfadiazine is mainly used to prevent and treat secondary wound infections of small-area, mild burns and scalds.
Usage and dosage:
Silver sulfadiazine is mainly used for local external use. It can be applied directly to the wound surface with a thickness of about 1.5 mm, once a day; the ointment can also be made into an oil gauze and applied once a day.
Adverse reactions:
Adverse reactions of silver sulfadiazine include allergic reactions such as local irritation, rash, dermatitis, drug fever, muscle pain, serum sickness-like reactions, etc. Since this product may be partially absorbed after local external application, granulocytopenia and thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia, inflammation, liver dysfunction, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may also occur.
