Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets are a phosphate binder, mainly used to control hyperphosphatemia. The specific indications are as follows:
Used to control hyperphosphatemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease who are undergoing dialysis.
Used to control hyperphosphatemia in adult patients with chronic kidney disease who have serum phosphorus ≥1.78 mmol/L but are not undergoing dialysis.
Sevelamer Carbonate Tablets reduce the phosphate concentration in serum by binding to phosphate in the digestive tract, reducing its absorption.
