Effects and efficacy:
Used to treat malignant malaria resistant to chloroquine or other antimalarial drugs, and can also be used to treat vivax malaria.
Usage and dosage:
Adult dosage: When used to treat malignant malaria caused by chloroquine-resistant strains, 1.8g per day, divided into two doses, for a course of 14 days. Common dosage for children: When used to treat malignant malaria caused by chloroquine-resistant strains, children under 1 year old, 0.1-0.2g per day, divided into 2-3 doses; children 1-3 years old, 0.2-0.3g; 4-6 years old, 0.3-0.5g; children 7-11 years old, 0.5-1g, for a course of 10 days. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Intravenous drip: Please have professional medical staff use the medicine in the hospital, please follow the doctor’s advice for details. When intravenously dripping, it must be done slowly and the patient’s cardiovascular response must be closely observed; when intravenously administering, blood sugar levels should be monitored; intramuscular injection is used only when neither oral nor intravenous drip is possible.
