Propafenone Hydrochlorid

Function:
Oral formulation (tablets or capsules) paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia. Supraventricular tachycardia (including those with pre-excitation syndrome). Paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia with injectable preparations. Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Preexcitation syndrome with supraventricular tachycardia. Prevention of atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation. Treatment of various premature beats.

Dosage:
For oral administration, the therapeutic dose is 300-900mg a day, taken in 4-6 times; the maintenance dose is 300-600mg a day, taken in 2-4 times. Please follow your doctor’s advice for details. Caution should be exercised in increasing the dose at the initial stage of treatment. It is advisable to gradually increase the dose from a small amount, and monitor the heart, including electrocardiogram and blood pressure monitoring, if necessary. Since propafenone has a bitter taste and can cause numbness in the mouth and tongue, it must be swallowed with water after meals and must not be chewed. For intravenous injection, the usual dosage for adults is 1-1.5 mg/kg or 70 mg diluted with 5% glucose solution. Inject slowly within 10 minutes. Repeat once every 10-20 minutes if necessary. The total amount does not exceed 210 mg. Please follow your doctor’s advice for details.
