Eltrombopag Olamine Tablets

Functions and indications:
1. This product is suitable for adults (>18 years old) with chronic immune (idiopathic) thrombocytopenia (ITP) who have not responded well to treatments such as glucocorticoids and immunoglobulins in the past, to increase the blood count and reduce or prevent bleeding. 2. This product is only used for ITP patients with increased bleeding risk due to thrombocytopenia and clinical conditions.
Usage and Dosage:
1. The lowest dose that can achieve and maintain a platelet count of >50.000/μl should be used. Individualized dose adjustment is performed based on the response of the platelet count after medication. This product should not be used to normalize the patient’s platelet count. In clinical studies, platelet counts usually increase within 1-2 weeks after the start of treatment with this product and decrease within 1-2 weeks after the end of treatment. 2. This product should be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal), and should be taken at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after the following products, including antacids, dairy products, or mineral supplements containing polyvalent cations (such as aluminum, calcium, iron, magnesium, selenium and zinc). This product should not be crushed and mixed with food or liquid for administration. 3. Initial dosage regimen (1) Adult patients: The recommended starting dose of this product is 25 mg (calculated as C25H22N4O4, and the following doses of eltrombopag tablets are all calculated as C2sH2N4O4) once a day. (2) Patients with impaired liver function should reduce the dosage.
Adverse reactions:
Common adverse reactions include headache, anemia, loss of appetite, insomnia, cough, nausea, diarrhea, hair loss, itching, myalgia, fever, fatigue, influenza-like illness, weakness, chills and peripheral edema.
Contraindications:
Patients who are allergic to eltrombopag or any excipients are contraindicated.
