Effects and efficacy:
Progesterone injection can be used to treat functional disorders caused by progesterone deficiency: menstrual disorders caused by ovulatory dysfunction; dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome; bleeding (caused by fibroids, etc.); premenopausal disorders; menopause (used to supplement progesterone therapy). Progesterone capsules also help pregnancy; or are suitable for adjuvant treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome.
Usage and dosage:
Intramuscular injection: threatened abortion, generally 10-20mg, used until pain and bleeding stop; for patients with a history of habitual abortion, 10-20mg once, 2-3 times a week since the beginning of pregnancy; functional uterine bleeding, used for withdrawal bleeding when hemoglobin is less than 7mg, 10mg a day, for 5 consecutive days, or 20mg a day for 3-4 consecutive days; amenorrhea, 8-10 days before the expected menstruation, daily intramuscular injection of 10mg for 5 days; or daily intramuscular injection of 20mg for 3-4 days; premenstrual tension syndrome, 10-20mg injected 12 days before the expected menstruation, for 10 consecutive days.
Adverse reactions:
Common adverse reactions include: breakthrough bleeding, vaginal punctate bleeding, weight gain or loss, changes in the cervical squamous-columnar junction, changes in cervical secretions, breast swelling, etc. Patients may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, fatigue, fever, insomnia, allergies with or without itching, melasma, chloasma, obstructive jaundice, and abnormal liver function. Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. Use with caution in case of renal impairment and liver impairment.
