Function and indication:
It is suitable for the treatment of epileptic tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal seizures), simple partial seizures and complex partial seizures as a single drug or in combination. It is also used for the treatment of essential tremor and senile tremor.
Usage and dosage:
The dosage and usage of different dosage forms and specifications of this product may vary. Please read the specific drug instructions for use, or follow the doctor’s advice. Primidone tablets: 1. Common dosage for adults: 50 mg, taken before bedtime, changed to twice a day after 3 days, changed to 3 times a day after one week, and changed to 250 mg 3 times a day from the 10th day, with a total amount not exceeding 1.5g (6 tablets) per day; the maintenance dose is generally 250 mg, 3 times a day. 2. Common dosage for children: Under 8 years old, take 50 mg before bedtime daily; increase to 50 mg each time after 3 days, twice a day; change to 100 mg after one week, twice a day; after 10 days, it can be increased to 125-250 mg 3 times a day according to the situation; or take it in divided doses according to body weight of 10-25 mg/kg per day. The same as adults for those over 8 years old.
Adverse reactions:
