Phenoxybenzamine Hydrochloride Tablets.

Effects and efficacy:
Treatment and preoperative preparation for pheochromocytoma. Peripheral vasospasm. Urinary retention caused by prostatic hyperplasia.
Usage and dosage:
Administration should be individualized, and the dosage should be adjusted according to clinical response and the content of catecholamines and their metabolites in urine. Start with 10 mg once a day, twice a day, and increase by 10 mg every other day until the expected clinical efficacy is achieved or a mild adverse reaction of α receptor blockade occurs. Maintain with 20-40 mg twice a day. For children, start with 0.2 mg per kilogram of body weight, twice a day; or 6-10 mg per square meter of body surface area, once a day. Increase the dosage every 4 days until the effect is achieved. Maintain daily at 0.4-1.4 mg per kilogram of body weight or 12-36 mg per square meter of body surface area, divided into 3-4 oral doses. The same drugs produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions. Adverse reactions:
Common adverse reactions of this product include postural hypotension, nasal congestion, dry mouth, pupil constriction, reflex heart rate acceleration and gastrointestinal irritation. Rarely, confusion, fatigue, headache, impotence, drowsiness, and occasionally angina pectoris and myocardial infarction may occur.
