Pentoxifylline Sustained- release Tablets

Effects and efficacy:
Pentoxifylline can be used for cerebral blood circulation disorders, such as transient cerebral ischemic attack, sequelae of stroke, and brain dysfunction caused by cerebral ischemia. It is used for peripheral blood circulation disorders, such as thromboembolic vasculitis, abdominal arterial blood circulation disorders, intermittent claudication or rest pain. It is used for inner ear circulation disorders, such as sudden deafness, senile tinnitus and deafness. It can also be used for ocular blood circulation disorders, such as diabetic retinal artery embolism.
Usage and dosage:
Sustained-release tablets: Generally, 400 mg (one tablet) is taken orally once, 1-2 times a day. If adverse reactions significantly reduce the number of doses, please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Taking it with meals or after meals can relieve gastrointestinal discomfort. It usually takes 2-6 weeks to take effect. Enteric-coated tablets: Oral, 200-400 mg once, 2-3 times a day. Intravenous drip: The patient should lie flat when taking the medicine. The initial dose is 100 mg of pentoxifylline, which is infused within 2-3 hours, and the maximum drip rate cannot exceed 100 mg/h. Depending on the patient’s tolerance, the dosage can be increased by 50 mg each time, but the dosage should not exceed 200 mg each time, 1-2 times a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 400 mg. Note: The same drug produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions.
