Effects and efficacy:
Used for induction of labor, induced labor, postpartum and abortion uterine bleeding caused by weak or poor uterine contraction. Oxytocin injection can be used for oxytocin stimulation test to understand the placental reserve function and promote milk ejection. Oxytocin nasal spray can be used to assist the discharge of milk secreted by the mammary glands of parturients after delivery.
Usage and dosage:
Intravenous drip for induction of labor or induced labor, 2.5~5 units at a time, diluted with sodium chloride injection to contain 0.01 unit per 1ml. At the beginning of intravenous drip, no more than 0.001~0.002 units per minute, increase by 0.001~0.002 units every 15~30 minutes, and reach uterine contraction similar to normal delivery period, and the fastest no more than 0.02 units per minute. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. To control postpartum bleeding, drip 0.02~0.04 units per minute, and 5~10 units can be injected intramuscularly after the placenta is discharged. Oxytocin nasal spray should be sprayed once into each nostril 2-3 minutes before starting breastfeeding, while sitting, to assist in the discharge of colostrum. Rapid intravenous and intramuscular injections are prohibited for prenatal use.
