Ornidazole Tablets

Effects and efficacy: Ornidazole dispersible tablets, ornidazole tablets, ornidazole capsules, ornidazole sodium chloride injection, etc. can be used to treat sensitive protozoan infections and treat and prevent anaerobic infections: male and female urogenital tract infections caused by Trichomonas; intestinal and hepatic amoebiasis caused by amoeba (including amoebic dysentery and amoebic liver abscess); giardiasis; anaerobic infections: such as sepsis, meningitis, peritonitis, postoperative wound infection, postpartum sepsis, septic abortion, periodontitis, endometritis and other infections caused by sensitive bacteria; prevention of various postoperative anaerobic infections. In addition, ornidazole vaginal effervescent tablets and ornidazole vaginal suppositories are also used to treat bacterial vaginosis, Trichomonas vaginitis, etc. Usage and dosage: Ornidazole dispersible tablets, ornidazole tablets, ornidazole capsules for acute trichomoniasis: take the medicine once, at night; 1500mg for adults once; 25mg/kg/day for children. Chronic trichomoniasis: 500 mg each time for adults, twice a day, for 5 days. Amoebic dysentery: 1500 mg each time for adults and children weighing more than 35 kg, take it once after dinner for 3 consecutive days; 1000 mg each time for those weighing more than 60 kg, take it orally after meals for 3 consecutive days; 40 mg/kg for children weighing less than 35 kg, take it once, take it orally after meals for 3 consecutive days. Other amoebiasis: 500 mg each time for adults and children weighing more than 35 kg, twice a day; 25 mg/kg for children weighing less than 35 kg, take it once for 5-10 days. Giardiasis: 1500 mg for adults and children weighing more than 35 kg, take it once in the evening for 1-2 days; 40 mg/kg for children weighing less than 35 kg, take it once for 1-2 days. Prevention of postoperative infection: Oral administration of 1500 mg 12 hours before surgery, and 500 mg each time, twice a day thereafter, for 3-5 days after surgery. Anaerobic infection: Adults and children weighing more than 35 kg, 500 mg each time, twice a day; children weighing less than 35 kg, 20 mg/kg, orally in 2 doses. Ornidazole vaginal suppositories and ornidazole vaginal effervescent tablets are administered vaginally every night before bedtime. Please wash the vulva before medication, and wash your hands before placing the suppository or tablet deep into the vagina. Once a night, one pill (tablet) at a time, for 5-7 consecutive days. Ornidazole sodium chloride injection, ornidazole injection for preoperative and postoperative prevention: Adults intravenously drip 1g of ornidazole 1-2 hours before surgery, 0.5g intravenously 12 hours after surgery, and 0.5g intravenously 24 hours after surgery. Treatment of infections caused by anaerobic bacteria: The starting dose for adults is 0.5-1g, and then 0.5g is dripped every 12 hours. Treatment of severe amebiasis: The initial dose is 0.5-1g, followed by intravenous drip of 0.5g every 12 hours for 3-6 days. The routine dose for children is 20-30mg/kg per day, intravenously dripped once every 12 hours. Note: Intravenous drip, the drip time for each bottle is not less than 30 minutes.

Adverse reactions:
Adverse reactions of oral or intravenous ornidazole Common adverse reactions: gastrointestinal reactions (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), drowsiness, headache, bad breath, etc. Rare adverse reactions: Central nervous system disorders, such as headache, tremor, rigidity, epileptic seizures, ataxia, fatigue, dizziness, temporary loss of consciousness or peripheral neuropathy (numbness of the limbs); taste disorders, abnormal liver function and skin reactions (rash, itching, etc.). Adverse reactions of topical ornidazole occasionally include itching, papules or redness of the vulvar skin, and occasionally more leucorrhea.
