Nikethamide Injection

Effects and efficacy:
Used for the rescue of respiratory failure caused by central respiratory depression and circulatory failure, morphine poisoning, and severe infectious diseases.
Usage and dosage:
Nikethamide preparation type is injection, which can be injected subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Adults: The usual dose is 0.25-0.5g once, and the medication can be repeated every 1-2 hours if necessary; the maximum dose is 1.25g once. Children: The usual dose is 75mg for infants under 6 months old; 0.125g for children aged 1 year old; 0.175g for children aged 4-7 years old. Note: The medication should be given at intervals depending on the condition. When high blood pressure, tremor, and muscle stiffness occur after high doses, the medication should be stopped in time to prevent convulsions; if convulsions occur, benzodiazepines or small doses of thiopental sodium should be injected intravenously in time to control them.
