Usage and Dosage
Report
Dosage for prevention of rejection
It should be started orally within 72 hours of transplantation. The recommended dose for renal transplant patients is 1 g twice a day (2 g a day). Oral administration of 2 g/day of this product is safer than oral administration of 3 g/day.
Dosage for the treatment of refractory rejection
In clinical trials, the recommended initial and maintenance dose for the treatment of refractory rejection is 1.5 g twice a day (3 g/day).
Special doses
If neutropenia occurs (absolute neutrophil count <1.3×103/μL), the dose should be stopped or reduced. Severe renal impairment: For patients with severe chronic renal impairment (glomerular filtration rate <25 ml/min/1.73 m2), avoid taking more than 1 gram twice a day (except for use immediately after transplantation). These patients should be carefully observed. For patients with delayed recovery of renal function after kidney transplantation, no dose adjustment or doctor’s advice is required.
