Effects and efficacy:
The main purpose of montmorillonite powder is to stop diarrhea, and it works by forming a protective film in the intestine. It is used for acute diarrhea caused by food poisoning, intestinal infection, etc., and can also be used for chronic diarrhea caused by intestinal infectious diseases, non-infectious inflammation, small intestinal malabsorption, etc. This product cannot remove the cause of diarrhea, for example, it cannot kill the pathogens that cause diarrhea, and it also cannot change the causes such as small intestinal malabsorption. Montmorillonite powder has a strong adsorption capacity for the gastrointestinal mucosa, and relieves the pain caused by diseases such as esophagitis and peptic ulcer by improving the defense ability of the mucosal barrier against attacking factors. Due to its protective effect on the intestinal mucosa, montmorillonite powder is also used clinically for the symptomatic treatment of diarrhea-type irritable bowel syndrome.
Usage and dosage:
Dosage for adults: 1 bag (3g) at a time, 3 times a day; when used for acute diarrhea, the first dose, that is, the first dose, should be doubled. Children: Newborns, 1/4 bag at a time, 3 times a day; under 1 year old: 1/3 bag at a time, 3 times a day; 1-2 years old: 1/3-2/3 bag at a time, 3 times a day; over 3 years old: 1 bag each time, 3 times a day. When used for acute diarrhea, the first dose should be doubled; when used for chronic diarrhea, the dose can be reduced under the guidance of a doctor. Usage: Pour montmorillonite powder into half a cup of warm water (about 50ml), shake well and take orally. Patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophagitis should take it after meals. Patients with gastritis, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome should take it before meals. Patients with diarrhea should take it between meals.
Adverse reactions:
A small number of patients may experience mild constipation after using montmorillonite powder. They can continue to take it at a reduced dose under the guidance of a doctor.
