Effects and efficacy: Mometasone furoate nasal spray is suitable for the treatment of seasonal or perennial rhinitis in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 to 11 years. For patients with moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms, it is recommended to use this product as a preventive treatment 2-4 weeks before the start of the pollen season. Mometasone furoate cream/gel is used to treat eczema, neurodermatitis, atopic dermatitis and pruritus.
Usage and dosage: Mometasone furoate gel/cream is used topically. Apply an appropriate amount of this product to the affected area once a day. Mometasone furoate nasal spray for seasonal allergic or perennial rhinitis usually starts by pressing the sprayer 6-7 times until a uniform spray is seen, and then the drug is administered nasally. Each spray sprays about 100 mg of mometasone furoate suspension, which contains mometasone furoate-hydrate, equivalent to 50μg of mometasone furoate. If the sprayer is not used for 14 days or more, it should be restarted at the next application. The container should be shaken thoroughly before each use. Adults (including elderly patients) and young people: The commonly recommended dose for prevention and treatment is 2 sprays per nostril (50μg per spray), once a day (total 200μg). Once the symptoms are controlled, the dose can be reduced to 1 spray per nostril (total 100μg) to maintain the efficacy. If the symptoms are not effectively controlled, the dose can be increased to a maximum daily dose of 4 sprays per nostril, once a day (total 400μg), and the dose can be reduced after the symptoms are controlled. Obvious clinical effects can be produced 12 hours after the first dose. Children aged 3 to 11 years: The commonly recommended dose is 1 spray per nostril (50μg per spray), once a day (total 100μg).
