Sodium glycidazole for injection is a radiosensitizer, which is mainly used in patients undergoing radiotherapy for solid tumors such as head and neck tumors, esophageal cancer, and lung cancer.
Sodium glycidazole belongs to the nitroimidazole class of compounds, which can fix the damage caused by radiation to the DNA of tumor hypoxic cells and inhibit the repair of DNA damage, thereby increasing the sensitivity of tumor hypoxic cells to radiation.
