menadione sodium sulfonate

Function:
Vitamin K deficiency. Spontaneous neonatal hemorrhage.

Dosage:
Injection to stop bleeding: intramuscular injection of 2-4 mg once, 4-8 mg a day; to prevent neonatal hemorrhage, pregnant women can be injected intramuscularly 1 week before delivery, 2-4 mg a day. Antispasmodic and analgesic: intramuscular injection, 8-16 mg each time.

Adverse reactions:
Redness, swelling and pain may be seen locally. Larger doses can cause hemolytic anemia, hyperbilirubinemia and jaundice in newborns and premature infants. Larger doses can induce acute hemolytic anemia in patients with red blood cell 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Large doses can cause liver damage. Patients with liver insufficiency can use vitamin K instead.

Drug contraindications:
Do not use with caution in children if you are allergic to this product. Use with caution in children with liver function impairment.
