Function:
It can be used to treat cerebral edema, edema caused by large-area burns, and refractory edema accompanied by hyponatremia. It can also treat glaucoma; prevent and treat acute renal failure and dehydration.

Dosage:
Commonly used dosage for diuresis in adults: The usual dosage is 1~2g/kg based on body weight. Generally, 250ml of 20% solution is used for intravenous infusion, and the dosage is adjusted to maintain urine output at 30~50ml per hour. Please follow your doctor’s advice for details. Treatment of cerebral edema, intracranial hypertension and glaucoma: 0.25~2g/kg body weight, formulated to a concentration of 15%~25%, intravenously infused within 30~60 minutes; when the patient is weak, the dose should be reduced to 0.5g/kg kg, while closely monitoring functional signs. Distinguish between prerenal oliguria and renal oliguria: 0.2g/kg body weight, 20% concentration, intravenous infusion within 3 to 5 minutes; if the hourly urine output is still less than 30 to 50ml after 2 to 3 hours of medication , try it again at most, and if there is still no response, the drug should be discontinued; patients with existing heart function decline or heart failure should use this drug with caution or should not use it.
