Lacidipine (Lacipil, Motens)

Effects and efficacy: Lacidipine has the effect of lowering blood pressure and is mainly used to treat hypertension. It can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs.

Usage and dosage:
For oral medication, the treatment plan for hypertension should be adjusted according to the severity of the disease and individual differences. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. The initial dose is once a day, 2 mg each time. Please take it at the same time every day, preferably in the morning. When the initial dose does not achieve an effective therapeutic effect (within a sufficient time), the dose can be increased to 4 mg once a day under the guidance of a doctor. If necessary, it can be increased to 6 mg once a day. The interval between dose adjustments should not be less than 3 to 4 weeks, unless the condition is severe and the dose needs to be increased rapidly. The same drugs produced by different manufacturers may have inconsistent instructions. Adverse reactions:
Adverse reactions after taking the drug are mostly related to its vasodilatory effect, such as headache, dizziness, skin flushing, edema, dizziness, fatigue, palpitations, etc., which are usually short-lived and gradually disappear or weaken with continued use. Rare symptoms include rash, erythema, itching, anorexia, nausea, polyuria, rare chest pain, gingival hyperplasia, transient alkaline phosphatase elevation. Generally, they will gradually disappear or return to normal after stopping the drug.
