Ixazomib Citrate Capsules.

Ixazomib citrate capsules are an anti-tumor drug used in combination with lenalidomide and dexamethasone to treat adult patients with multiple myeloma who have received at least one previous treatment.
Ixazomib is a reversible proteasome inhibitor that preferentially binds to the β5 subunit of the 20S proteasome and inhibits its chymotrypsin-like activity. Ixazomib can induce apoptosis of multiple myeloma cell lines in vitro and has a cytotoxic effect on myeloma cells of patients who have relapsed after multiple drug treatments such as bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone. The combination of ixazomib and lenalidomide has a synergistic cytotoxic effect on multiple myeloma cell lines.
