Indapamide

Effects and efficacy: Mild and moderate hypertension, and edema (including edema caused by heart failure).

Usage and dosage: Hypertension: Adults take 1.25-2.5 mg orally, once a day. After 4 weeks, if necessary, the dose can be increased to 5 mg, once a day. Edema: 2.5 mg is usually taken once a day. After 1 week, if necessary, the dose can be increased to 5 mg, once a day. Tablets are swallowed whole with water, do not chew. The dosage for the elderly is reduced or as prescribed by the doctor. It is recommended to take it in the morning.

Adverse reactions: Most clinical and laboratory adverse reactions are dose-dependent, most of which are mild and short-lived. The lowest effective dose can be used to reduce adverse reactions. Digestive system diarrhea, lack of appetite, nausea, etc. are less common, and dry mouth, nausea, constipation, etc. are occasionally seen. Cardiovascular system orthostatic hypotension, palpitations, arrhythmias, etc. are less common. Nervous system headaches, insomnia, occasional dizziness, paresthesia, etc. are less common. Metabolism is less common with hyponatremia, hypokalemia, and hypochloremic alkalosis. Rare skin allergic reactions such as rashes and itching. Urogenital system can cause or aggravate azotemia (renal insufficiency). There are also reports of frequent urination, nocturia and impotence caused by this product. Respiratory system can cause runny nose. Common skin reactions include urticaria and other rashes, itching; nodular vasculitis and skin redness. There are individual reports of severe erythema multiforme drug eruption and toxic epidermal necrolysis.

Allergic to this product is prohibited. Liver function damage is prohibited. Kidney function damage is prohibited. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution during lactation. Use with caution in children.
