:Imipenem-Cilastatin sodium hydrate

Imipenem-cilastatin sodium is suitable for the treatment of various systemic infections, bacteremia and sepsis. Imipenem binds to various penicillin-binding proteins, inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls, and leads to cell lysis and death. Cilastatin can prevent proximal tubular necrosis caused by imipenem.
Indications
Imipenem-cilastatin sodium is suitable for mixed infections caused by various pathogens and aerobic/anaerobic bacteria, as well as early treatment before the pathogen is identified. It is suitable for intra-abdominal infections, lower respiratory tract infections, gynecological infections, sepsis, genitourinary tract infections, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections and endocarditis. It can also be used for the prevention of postoperative infections. It also has the efficacy of combined medication, but it is not suitable for the treatment of meningitis.
