The recommended dose of this product for pediatric patients needs to be determined based on the weight of children and adolescents (2 to 17 years old), see the table for details. In completed clinical trials, no more than 1 dose was administered during an episode of hereditary angioedema (HAE). The trial dosage regimen is not recommended for children under 2 years of age or weighing less than 12 kilograms because the safety and effectiveness of the drug in this age group have not been established. The decision regarding administration by caregiver or self-injection should be made by a physician experienced in diagnosing and treating hereditary angioedema. For patients who have never injected this product, the first injection treatment should be carried out in a medical institution or under the guidance of a physician. Adults can inject this product themselves or through a caregiver after receiving training on subcutaneous injections from a medical professional and confirming that the patient can safely and accurately perform subcutaneous injections.
