Felodipine

Effects and efficacy:
Felodipine has the effect of dilating arteries and lowering blood pressure, and can be used to treat hypertension. It can also be used alone or in combination with beta-adrenergic receptor blockers to treat stable angina pectoris.

Usage and dosage:
For the treatment of hypertension tablets: for mild and moderate primary hypertension, the initial dose is 2.5 mg once, twice a day; the maintenance dose is 5 mg or 10 mg a day. If necessary, the dose can be increased, or other antihypertensive drugs can be added. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Sustained-release preparations (sustained-release tablets, capsules): The initial dose is 5 mg once a day; the maintenance dose is 5 mg or 10 mg once a day. According to individual response, the increase or decrease of the dose should not be less than 2 weeks, or other antihypertensive drugs can be added. For stable angina pectoris sustained-release tablets: The initial dose is 5 mg once a day; the maintenance dose is 5 mg or 10 mg once a day. Patients with liver dysfunction use sustained-release preparations, and those with liver damage take 2.5 mg once a day. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. The dosage for the elderly is a sustained-release preparation, 2.5 mg once a day for the elderly. Usually no more than 10 mg once a day is needed. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Drug contraindications:
