Fampridine Sustained-release Tablets

Fampridine (Fampyra Comprimidos) is a potassium channel blocker. Fampyra is a prescription drug used to improve walking ability in adults with multiple sclerosis (MS). It was approved in January 2010 to improve walking function in MS patients.

Fampyra, an oral therapy, has been shown in multiple studies to improve walking ability in MS patients with a range of impairments from mild to severe. Public data show that in a clinical trial, patients who responded to Fampyra had an average 25% increase in walking speed.
