Famotidine

Function:
Upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by peptic ulcer, acute stress ulcer, and hemorrhagic gastritis. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Peptic ulcers (gastric and duodenal ulcers), acute gastric mucosal lesions, reflux esophagitis and gastrinoma.

Dosage:
Tablets for the treatment of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in adults: Take 20 mg orally (1 tablet at a time) twice a day, in the morning, after dinner or before going to bed. 4 to 6 weeks is a course of treatment: intravenous or intramuscular injection, 20 mg once, twice a day. Injections for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: intravenous or intramuscular injection, 20 mg once, twice a day. , usually effective within 7 days. Injection for treating aggressive stress reaction: intravenous or intramuscular injection, 20 mg once, twice a day, usually for 3 to 7 days. Children with gastroesophageal reflux disease should be taken orally, 0.6~0.8mg/kg per day (maximum daily dose 40mg), once every 12 hours or before bedtime, with a course of 4~8 weeks. Orally administered for peptic ulcer, 0.9 mg/kg per day (maximum dose 40 mg per day), once before bedtime, treatment course is 2 to 4 weeks. Intravenous infusion, no more than 20 mg at a time, once every 12 hours.

Adverse reactions:
A few patients may have dry mouth, dizziness, insomnia, constipation, diarrhea, rash, facial flushing, and leukopenia. Occasionally, there is a mild transient increase in transaminases. Serious adverse reactions: shock, immediate allergic reaction, aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, ocular mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermis Necrolysis (Lyell syndrome), liver dysfunction, jaundice, rhabdomyolysis, QT interval prolongation, confusion, convulsions, interstitial nephritis, acute renal failure, interstitial pneumonia.

Drug contraindications:
If you are allergic to this product, it is contraindicated during pregnancy. It is contraindicated during lactation. Use with caution in infants under 6 months of age. Use with caution in patients with liver and kidney dysfunction.
