Epalrestat

Function:
Epalrestat is an antidiabetic drug indicated for diabetic neuropathy, such as impaired pain, touch, and temperature sensations. This product is a reversible non-competitive inhibitor of aldose reductase. It has a selective inhibitory effect on aldose reductase and can improve neurological function.

Dosage:
The usual dosage for adults is 50 mg three times a day, taken orally before meals. Increase or decrease appropriately with age and severity of symptoms. If elderly patients have changes in physiological functions, appropriate dosage reduction should be considered when using this product. Please follow your doctor’s advice for details.

Drug contraindications:
Contraindicated in children if allergic to this product. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution during lactation.
