Dolasetron Mesylate Injection

Dolasetron mesylate injection is an antiemetic drug used for:
Prevention of nausea and vomiting caused by initial and repeated use of emetogenic tumor chemotherapy (including high-dose cisplatin).
Prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. Like other antiemetic drugs, this product is not recommended for routine prevention in patients who are unlikely to experience nausea and/or vomiting after surgery. It is recommended for patients who must avoid postoperative nausea and/or vomiting, even if the incidence of nausea and vomiting is low.
Treatment of postoperative nausea and/or vomiting.
Dolasetron mesylate injection is a selective 5-HT3 receptor antagonist that inhibits the occurrence of nausea and vomiting by antagonizing 5-HT3 receptors in peripheral vagus nerve endings and central emetic chemoreceptor areas.
