Function:
Short-term supportive care for cardiac decompensation due to decreased contractility in patients with heart failure, structural heart disease, or cardiac surgery.

Dosage:
The general administration rate is 2.5-10 μg/(kg.min). At doses below 15 μg/kg per minute, the patient’s heart rate and peripheral vascular resistance are basically unchanged; however, it should be noted that large doses may cause arrhythmia.
