Effects and efficacy:
Diphenhydramine hydrochloride tablets are used for patients with fever, headache and cough caused by colds. This product’s soft capsules are mainly used for: skin and mucous membrane allergies, such as urticaria, angioneurotic edema, allergic rhinitis, pruritus, drug eruption, and are also effective for insect bites and contact dermatitis; prevention and treatment of motion sickness, with a strong antiemetic effect; Parkinson’s disease and extrapyramidal symptoms; sedation, hypnosis; strengthen the effect of antitussive drugs, suitable for the treatment of cough caused by colds or allergies. This product’s injection is used for acute severe allergic reactions, which can reduce allergic reactions caused by blood transfusion or plasma; nausea and vomiting caused by drugs after surgery; Parkinson’s disease and extrapyramidal symptoms; dental local anesthesia, when the patient is highly allergic to commonly used local anesthetics, 1% diphenhydramine solution can be used as a dental local anesthetic; other allergic reactions, those who are not suitable for oral medication.
Usage and dosage:
Tablets and soft capsules: oral. Adults take 1 tablet at a time, 2-3 times a day. When used to prevent and treat motion sickness, it is advisable to take it 1-2 hours before travel, at least 30 minutes before travel. Injection: deep intramuscular injection, 20 mg at a time, 1-2 times a day. This product contains benzyl alcohol and is prohibited for intramuscular injection in children.
Adverse reactions:
Common central nervous system inhibition (sleepiness, fatigue, dizziness), ataxia (dizziness, nausea, unsteady standing, feeling of walking on cotton, gait changes), nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc. Rarely, there are shortness of breath, chest tightness, cough, dystonia (a movement disorder caused by abnormal repetitive movements and abnormal postures caused by involuntary intermittent or continuous muscle contraction), etc. There are reports that trismus may occur after administration, accompanied by laryngeal spasm. Occasionally, it may cause rash, granulocytopenia, anemia and heart rate disorders.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. Use with caution during pregnancy and lactation.
