Effects and efficacy:
Diethylstilbestrol is mainly used in the following situations. Supplementing estrogen deficiency in the body, such as atrophic vaginitis, female gonadal dysgenesis, menopausal syndrome, senile vulvar dryness and vaginitis, after oophorectomy, primary ovarian agenesis. Breast cancer, postmenopausal and male advanced breast cancer, those who cannot undergo surgical treatment. Advanced patients with prostate cancer who cannot undergo surgical treatment. Withdrawal (or retraction) of milk.
Usage and dosage:
The dosage and dosage of different dosage forms and specifications of diethylstilbestrol may vary. Please take the medicine according to the doctor’s advice. Diethylstilbestrol tablets are used orally. For supplementing the deficiency in the body: 0.25~0.5mg per day, stop taking the medicine for one week after 21 days. Take it cyclically, generally 3 cycles can be used (start taking the medicine from the 5th day of menstruation). For breast cancer: 15mg per day, stop taking the medicine if there is no improvement within 6 weeks. For prostate cancer: 1~3mg per day at the beginning, increase and then decrease according to the condition; the maintenance dose is 1mg per day, and it is used for 2~3 months. Prevention of postpartum lactation and milk withdrawal: 5 mg once, 3 times a day, for 3 consecutive days. Diethylstilbestrol injection is used for intramuscular injection; 0.5~1 mg once, 0.5~6 mg a day.
Adverse reactions:
Diethylstilbestrol may have the following adverse reactions. There may be irregular vaginal bleeding, uterine hypertrophy, frequent urination or painful urination. Sometimes it can cause thrombosis and abnormal heart function. Sometimes it causes abnormal liver function, hyperlipidemia, and sodium retention. Causes gastrointestinal nausea, vomiting, anorexia symptoms and mental symptoms such as headache and dizziness.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. It is prohibited during pregnancy and lactation. It should be used with caution in children with liver and kidney dysfunction.
