]Dibazolum

Dibazole is a smooth muscle relaxant that has a direct relaxing effect on vascular smooth muscle, reducing peripheral resistance and lowering blood pressure. It has an antispasmodic effect on gastrointestinal smooth muscle; it can also dilate the anterior ciliary artery and vein, which is beneficial to supply blood to the ciliary body, improve ciliary muscle nutrition, and thereby restore the normal regulatory function of ciliary muscle.

Dibazole includes two dosage forms: Dibazole tablets and Dibazole eye drops. Different dosage forms treat different diseases:

Tablets: used for mild hypertension, cerebral vasospasm, gastrointestinal smooth muscle spasm, sequelae of poliomyelitis, and peripheral facial nerve palsy. It can also be used for post-pregnancy hypertension syndrome.

Eye drops: used for pseudomyopia in adolescents.
