Ceftazidime for Injection

Effects and efficacy:
Used to treat infections of the lower respiratory tract, skin and soft tissue, bones and joints, chest cavity, abdomen, bile duct, genitourinary system and central nervous system caused by sensitive strains of Gram-negative bacteria. Used to treat sepsis. Used to treat infections in immunocompromised people caused by multiple drug-resistant Gram-negative bacilli, nosocomial infections, and central nervous system infections caused by Gram-negative bacilli or Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Usage and dosage:
Ceftazidime for injection: intravenous injection or intravenous drip. For sepsis, lower respiratory tract infections, bile duct infections, etc., 4-6 grams per day, divided into 2-3 intravenous drips or intravenous injections, the course of treatment is 10-14 days. For urinary tract infections and severe skin and soft tissue infections, 2-4 grams per day, divided into 2 intravenous drips or intravenous injections, the course of treatment is 7-14 days. For certain life-threatening infections, severe Pseudomonas aeruginosa infections and central nervous system infections, the daily increase can be 0.15-0.2g/kg, divided into 3 intravenous drips or intravenous injections. Medication for children: The common dose for infants and children is 30-100mg/kg per day, divided into 2-3 intravenous drips, and the maximum daily dose does not exceed 6g. Medication for the elderly: The dose for elderly patients over 65 years old can be reduced to 2/3-1/2 of the normal dose, and the maximum daily dose does not exceed 3g. Patients with renal impairment: The dose should be reduced. Patients with renal impairment need to reduce the dose of ceftazidime. First give a loading dose of 1g, and then adjust the maintenance dose according to the creatinine clearance (CC). CC 31-50ml/min; 1g, once every 12h. CC 16-30ml/min; 1g, once every 24h. CC 6-15ml/min; 500mg, once every 24h. CC <5ml/ min: 500mg, once every 48h. For severe infections, the drug dose can be increased by 50% on this basis. The minimum blood concentration of ceftazidime should not exceed 40μg/ml. Patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis can first be given a loading dose of 1g. After that, give 500mg of ceftazidime every 24h: ceftazidime sodium can also be added to the dialysate, usually 125-250mg of ceftazidime can be added to 2L of dialysate. Those who undergo hemodialysis can first be given a 1g loading dose, and then 0.5-1g of ceftazidime is given at the end of each dialysis.
Adverse reactions:
The adverse reactions of this product are rare and mild. A small number of patients have skin rash, itchy skin, drug fever; nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain; mild phlebitis at the injection site; occasionally transient serum transaminase, blood urea nitrogen, and serum creatinine values ​​are slightly elevated; leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and eosinophilia, etc.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is contraindicated. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution during lactation. Use with caution in children.
