Cefaclor Sustained Release Capsules

Effects and efficacy: It can be used to treat acute otitis media caused by penicillin-sensitive strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus or Streptococcus pyogenes; for lower respiratory tract infections (including pneumonia) caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pyogenes; for pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes; for urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae and saprophytic Staphylococcus; for simple skin and soft tissue infections caused by methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes; for acute bacterial infection exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis (including β-lactamase-producing strains) and Streptococcus pneumoniae, and for acute bronchitis secondary to the above bacterial infections.
Usage and Dosage:
Common dosage for adults: once every 8 hours, 250-500 mg each time. The dose can be doubled for patients with more severe infections or low-sensitive bacterial infections, but the daily administration should not exceed 4g. Please follow the doctor’s advice for details. Infants and children over 1 month old: 20-40 mg/kg per day, orally on an empty stomach, divided into 3 doses, but the total daily dose should not exceed 1g. Common dosing regimens are as follows. Children over 5 years old, 250 mg, 3 times a day; 1-5 years old, 125 mg, 3 times a day; under 1 year old, 62.5 mg, 3 times a day. Note: Children should be administered under the guidance of a doctor and adult supervision; patients with moderate and severe renal impairment should be closely monitored during medication, and the dosage can be reduced to 1/2 and 1/4 of the normal dose if necessary. Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution during lactation. Use with caution when drinking alcohol.
