Drugs used to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers are also used for compound ulcers, multiple ulcers, anastomotic ulcers and erosive gastritis. Combined with antibiotics, Helicobacter pylori can be eradicated. It is used for gastric and duodenal ulcers and chronic gastritis related to Helicobacter pylori, gastric MALT lymphoma, early gastric cancer surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease and functional dyspepsia, etc. It can also be combined with a quadruple regimen that inhibits gastric acid secretion (proton pump inhibitors and H2 receptor antagonists) as a rescue treatment for failed eradication of Helicobacter pylori.
