Benzathine Benzylpenicillin for Injection

Effects and efficacy:
It is mainly used as a long-term preventive drug for patients with rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease. It can also be used to treat mild to moderate infections caused by sensitive bacteria, such as pneumonia, tonsillitis and gonorrhea.
Usage and dosage:
Before use, prepare a suspension with an appropriate amount of sterile injection water. Adults should be injected intramuscularly with 600,000-1.2 million U at a time, and children should be given half the dose, and the dose should be repeated every 2-4 weeks.
Adverse reactions:
Allergic reactions Allergic reactions caused by penicillin may occur when using this drug, among which allergic reactions such as rashes are the most common, while leukopenia, interstitial nephritis, asthma attacks and serum sickness reactions are rare. Severe cases such as anaphylactic shock are occasionally seen; once anaphylactic shock occurs, it must be rescued on the spot, and treatment measures such as keeping the airway open, oxygen inhalation, and the use of epinephrine, glucocorticoids, etc. may occur. Superinfection may cause superinfection with penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Gram-negative bacilli or Candida.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic reactions to this product are prohibited. It is prohibited during lactation and children are prohibited.
