Effects and efficacy:
Azathioprine can be used for the following diseases. Acute and chronic leukemia, with good short-term efficacy for chronic myeloid leukemia, fast effect, but short remission period. Acquired hemolytic anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, systemic lupus erythematosus. Chronic rheumatoid arthritis, chronic active hepatitis (hepatitis related to autoimmunity), primary biliary cirrhosis. Hyperthyroidism, myasthenia gravis. Others: chronic nonspecific ulcerative colitis, segmental enteritis, polyradiculitis, lupus nephritis, proliferative nephritis, Wegener’s granulomatosis, etc.
Usage and dosage:
The main method of use of azathioprine is oral administration, and the specific dosage should be followed by the doctor. General dosage: Oral, 1.5mg~4mg/kg per day, once a day or orally in divided doses. Dosage for organ transplantation: The first day dose depends on the immunotherapy regimen used. The maintenance dose needs to be adjusted according to clinical needs and blood system tolerance, generally 1 to 4 mg per kilogram of body weight per day.
