Atenolol Tablets

Effects and efficacy:
It is mainly used to treat hypertension, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, and can also be used to treat arrhythmia, hyperthyroidism, and pheochromocytoma.

Usage and dosage:
Common dosage for adults: Start with 6.25-12.5 mg each time, twice a day, and gradually increase to 50 mg-200 mg as needed and tolerated. When renal function is impaired, if the creatinine clearance rate is less than 15 ml/(min·1.73 m2), take 25 mg per day; if it is 15-35 ml/(min·1.73 m2), take up to 50 mg per day.

Adverse reactions:
Common adverse reactions: bradycardia (incidence of about 3%-18%), cold limbs (incidence of about 12%), hypotension (incidence of about 4%-25%), dizziness (incidence of about 13%), depression (incidence of about 12%), fatigue (incidence of about 26%). Serious adverse reactions are relatively rare, mainly including: heart failure, myocardial infarction, ventricular arrhythmia, thyrotoxicosis, allergy, systemic lupus erythematosus, pulmonary embolism, etc.
