Effects and efficacy:
Used to treat vivax malaria, severe malignant malaria resistant to chloroquine and cerebral malaria.
Usage and dosage:
Oral administration: 1g first, then 0.5g after 6-8 hours, 0.5g on the 2nd and 3rd day, 3 days of treatment, total 2.5g. Total dose for children: 15mg/kg, take it within 3 days as above. Rectal administration: 0.6g for the first time, 0.6g after 6 hours, 0.4g on the 2nd and 3rd day. Deep intramuscular injection: 200mg for the first time, 100mg after 6-8 hours, 100mg on the 2nd and 3rd day, total dose 500mg (100mg on the 4th day for some severe cases). Or use it for 3 consecutive days, 300mg intramuscularly every day, total 900mg. 15mg/kg for children, take it within 3 days as above.
Adverse reactions:
Some patients may experience transient increase in aminotransferase and mild rash. A few cases have mild nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other adverse reactions, which can quickly return to normal without treatment. ECG abnormalities, including Q-T interval prolongation. Animal experiments have confirmed that large doses can cause severe neurotoxicity. When the injection site is shallow, it is easy to cause local pain and lumps.
Drug contraindications:
Allergic to this product is prohibited. Use with caution during lactation. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution in case of liver function damage.
