Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets, twice a day, can be used for short-term treatment of the following infections: Upper respiratory tract infections such as tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media. Lower respiratory tract infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, lobar pneumonia, and bronchopneumonia. Genitourinary tract infections: cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis. Skin and soft tissue infections: furuncle, abscess, cellulitis, and traumatic infection. Bone and joint infections: osteomyelitis. Other infections such as infected abortion, pelvic infection, and abdominal infection.
