Excerpt	Effects and efficacy: Applicable to the following bacterial infectious diseases caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and other Klebsiella species that are sensitive to cefixime, as well as Streptococcus (except enterococci), pneumococci, gonococci, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Serratia, Proteus and Haemophilus influenzae: acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, bacterial infection complicated by acute bronchitis, bronchiectasis and infection, pneumonia. Pyelonephritis, cystitis, gonococcal urethritis. Acute bacterial infection of the biliary system (cholecystitis, cholangitis). Scarlet fever. Otitis media, sinusitis. Urethritis caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Usage and dosage: Oral administration of cefixime is not affected by diet and can be taken before or after meals. Adults and children weighing more than 30kg: Oral, 0.1g each time, twice a day; adults with severe infection can increase to 0.2g each time, twice a day. Please follow the doctor's advice for details. Children weighing 30kg and below: Oral administration, the daily dosage is half of that of adults; or the dosage is calculated as 1.5-3.0mg per kilogram each time, twice a day. Please follow the doctor's advice for details. Adverse reactions: Most of the adverse reactions of cefixime are short-lived and mild. The most common: gastrointestinal reactions such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, indigestion, and abdominal distension. Secondary allergic reactions such as rash, urticaria, drug fever, and itching can be seen. Occasionally, central nervous system reactions such as headache and dizziness are seen. A small number of patients have transient increases in serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, blood urea nitrogen, and creatinine after taking the drug, decreased platelet and white blood cell counts, and increased eosinophils. Long-term use of the drug can cause dysbacteriosis and secondary infection; there are also reports of vitamin deficiency. Drug contraindications: Allergic to this product is prohibited. Use with caution during pregnancy. Use with caution in infants under 6 months old. Use with caution when drinking alcohol
