Effects and Benefits: After intravenous administration, this drug works primarily through two mechanisms: antioxidant protection for cells and detoxification. It is primarily used to treat the following conditions: Relief of chemotherapy side effects: This is particularly true for the toxic side effects of high-dose chemotherapy drugs such as cisplatin, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin; Radiation therapy protection: This reduces tissue damage during radiotherapy; Hypoxia-related conditions: These include acute anemia (sudden onset of severe anemia), adult respiratory distress syndrome (severe breathing difficulties), sepsis (systemic infection), and other conditions resulting in insufficient oxygen supply to the blood; Various liver injury conditions: This is used to treat viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver damage (such as painkiller overdose), alcoholic liver disease, and liver problems caused by other chemicals; Poisoning adjunctive therapy: This is used as an adjunctive antidote for poisoning with organophosphorus pesticides and amine/nitro compounds (common in some industrial chemicals). Dosage and Administration: This drug is an injection and must be completely dissolved in a dedicated solvent before use. The dissolved liquid should be clear and transparent, without any color. (1) Instructions: Intravenous injection: 100 ml of normal saline or 5% glucose injection solution is required to dissolve the drug. Alternatively, 250-500 ml of these two solvents can be used and administered through intravenous infusion. Normal saline is the most commonly used infusion solvent in hospitals. Intramuscular injection: The drug must first be dissolved in special injection water and then injected intramuscularly. (2) Dosage: For chemotherapy patients: Within 15 minutes before the start of chemotherapy, dissolve the drug in 100 ml of normal saline or 5% glucose solution at a dose of 1.5 g per square meter of body surface area and administer it through intravenous infusion for 15 minutes. On the second to fifth days of chemotherapy, 0.6 g is administered intramuscularly daily. When using cyclophosphamide chemotherapy: In order to prevent bladder damage, this drug needs to be injected intravenously immediately after the injection of cyclophosphamide, and the infusion should also be completed within 15 minutes. When using cisplatin chemotherapy: The dosage of this drug needs to be controlled. The dosage for each mg of cisplatin should not exceed 35 mg. Overdose may affect the effect of chemotherapy. For liver diseases (treatment cycle is generally 30 days): Viral hepatitis: 1.2 grams intravenous injection per day for 30 days. Severe hepatitis: 1.2-2.4 grams intravenous injection per day for 30 days. Active cirrhosis: 1.2 grams intravenous injection per day for 30 days. Fatty liver: 1.8 grams intravenous injection per day for 30 days. Alcoholic hepatitis: 1.8 grams intravenous injection per day for 14-30 days. Drug-induced hepatitis: 1.2-1.8 grams intravenous injection per day for 14-30 days. For adjuvant treatment with radiotherapy: Administer after radiotherapy, the standard dose is 1.5 grams per square meter of body surface area, and the specific details shall be followed by the doctor. Treatment of other diseases: Patients with hypoxemia: 1.5 grams per square meter of body surface area dissolved in 100 ml of normal saline for intravenous infusion. After the condition improves, change to daily intramuscular injection of 0.3-0.6 grams for maintenance treatment.
