Excerpt
Efficacy and Function: Tenofovir alafenamide fumarate tablets are primarily used to treat chronic hepatitis B virus infection and are also indicated for hepatitis B-induced cirrhosis. Its core function is to reduce liver damage by inhibiting viral replication, thereby slowing disease progression. Dosage and Administration: It is indicated for adolescents and adults aged 12 years and over, weighing more than 35 kg. Take one tablet once daily. It is recommended to take the tablet with a meal to facilitate absorption. The specific duration of treatment should be determined by an experienced physician based on the patient's specific condition. Precautions for Monitoring Before and After Use: HIV antibody testing is mandatory before starting treatment. If the test result is positive, a combination antiretroviral therapy (i.e., a combination of multiple antiviral drugs) specifically designed for patients co-infected with HIV-1 is indicated. Liver function tests should be monitored every three months during treatment. Even after stopping hepatitis B treatment, monitoring, including clinical examinations and blood tests, should continue for at least six months. The physician will assess whether to restart hepatitis B treatment based on the test results. Adverse Reactions: Common adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Some people may experience diarrhea and abdominal distension. A few may experience joint pain, fatigue, and skin rashes or itching. Some patients may experience elevated liver function tests after taking this medication. Serious conditions requiring special attention: A very small number of people may develop fatty liver disease, lactic acidosis (manifested by shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, severe vomiting, drowsiness, and muscle aches), or a sudden worsening of hepatitis. If these symptoms occur after taking this medication, seek medical attention immediately. Important Warning: Hepatitis patients may experience a sudden worsening of their condition, which may be life-threatening, during treatment or after discontinuing this medication. If the condition worsens during treatment, medication should be continued. Liver function tests should be performed regularly for six months after discontinuing this medication, and treatment should be restarted if necessary. Contraindications: This product is contraindicated if you are allergic to it, if it is used on children, if it is used during pregnancy, and if it is used during breastfeeding. See more
